Meet Your Dog’s Trainer – Breann Ellis Ordos
I have been at the end of a dog’s leash for as long as I can remember. Australian Shepherds were the first breed I ever handled, and they introduced me to the world of competition through conformation, herding, rally, obedience, and junior showmanship. Those early experiences shaped not just my skills, but my respect for the bond between dog and handler.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work under some of the best professional handlers in the dog show world. They taught me far more than technique—they showed me what daily life with dogs truly looks like: the care, the responsibility, the patience, and the consistency it takes to work with dogs at a professional level. Through this, I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds and temperaments while helping finish championship title dogs.
In 2019, I was given the opportunity to work as an assistant to a retriever trainer, which opened a new chapter in my journey. After my first year, I became responsible for the beginner gun dogs and the puppy development program. I worked with multiple retriever breeds, teaching them to mark, retrieve, and confidently deliver birds to hand. Puppy development focused on early exposure to live birds, obedience, and building strong marking skills—so when the dogs returned for the older dog program, they came back confident, prepared, and ready to work.
I have been fortunate to help guide dogs toward their Junior titles, whether through my own training or alongside their owners, and every step of that journey has deepened my passion for developing confident, capable working dogs.
My goal in dog training is to create clear communication, trust, and structure between you and your dog. We focus on building a solid foundation through consistent training, helping dogs understand expectations while gaining confidence in any environment.
